Yvonne Chen, MD

Dr. Chen was born in Taiwan and raised in the United States, coming to the U.S. during junior high school. She is interested in both acute and chronic kidney disease. She has a special interest in the use of dietary modification for prevention of kidney disease, especially related to diabetes and hypertension. Since coming to Oakland, she has worked hard with community outreach programs targeting Asian and Southeast Asian communities to bring awareness about both early detection and modification of kidney diseases.

Dr. Chen believes in providing the best medical care for all regardless of age, sex, or religion and treating everyone with professionalism and compassion.
