Guity Farahmand, MD

Dr. Farahmand joined Chabot Nephrology after completing her nephrology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Her interest in nephrology began with research she conducted at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and flourished during residency at the University of California, Irvine. In her last year of residency, Dr. Farahmand served as chief resident and discovered a love for educating future physicians. She enjoys all aspects of general nephrology, but takes a keen interest in acute kidney injury and the role of hypertension in kidney disease. Born in Iran and raised in southern California, she is comfortable treating patients who speak Persian (Farsi) and basic Spanish. Interests include spending time in the outdoors with her husband and dog Beau.
