Dr. Elizabeth Wrone has been with Diablo Nephrology since 2002. She earned her medical degree at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and was trained in internal medicine at Yale University. She completed a fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension and a Masters of Science degree in epidemiology at Stanford University.
Dr. Wrone is board certified in internal medicine as well as nephrology and hypertension. She has been a Chairperson of the Medical Advisory Board of The National Kidney Foundation since 2007 and is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and Council on Kidney in Cardiovascular Disease of the American Heart Association. She is presently the Chief of Nephrology at the John Muir Medical Center – Walnut Creek Campus, as well as the medical director of the Fresenius East Antioch hemodialysis unit. Dr. Wrone is also the physician supervisor of our Nurse Practitioner Program.
Dr. Wrone is an avid music fan and enjoys playing bluegrass fiddle and violin in her spare time.
